Harbour Juniors

Introduction

In 2018, the previous committee at Seaham Harbour Cricket Club ran in to several difficulties which meant a new committee was formed. The 3 main objectives of were as following:

  • To make the club family orientated
  • Develop the Junior Section of the Club
  • Obtain Premier League status within 5 years

The 2nd objective led to the creation of roles within the Club of Junior Co-ordinator and later Junior Chairman. This allowed the club to provide significant resources towards the Junior side of the Club with its own Committee and Treasurer.

Since 2018 we have gone from 3 to 11 Junior sides including 3 girl’s teams. We also offer Development coaching for beginners for those of the age of 4-8. As of 2022 the Club has over 120 junior cricketers registered.

To help us achieve this we offer a variety of coaching sessions and camps that help players move through their age groups and hopefully through to adult cricket at the Club.

The Harbour are fully committed to offering all young people, regardless of age, gender and ethnic background, the opportunity to play cricket competitively or recreationally.
